Data Sources & Verification

Public market data

Articles may reference public series from Yahoo Finance, Stooq, and FRED, plus publisher documentation for Bloomberg or Refinitiv fields. A named source does not imply QTJ holds a proprietary terminal dataset. Worked examples discuss point-in-time and survivorship-bias controls rather than claiming CRSP-equivalent data reconstruction to remove survivorship bias.

Higher-frequency data

Higher-frequency articles use stylised data designs unless a reproducible feed extract is linked. Platform or vendor names describe the market-data context and do not claim privileged QTJ access.

Championship verification

Where a trader's track record is referenced (e.g. risk-adjusted competition winner), the audit is cross-referenced against the originating championship's published results:

Why we cross-reference

Self-reported records and independently tracked competition results carry different evidentiary weight. QTJ therefore separates official placements, published audit material, and editorial interpretation instead of treating them as interchangeable.
